There are so many tips on dieting available, but there are some that can really produce results, and a person who is dieting should grab onto any helpful advice that will help them reach their goal.

In your daily diet routine you may want to consider these tips on how to lose 10 pounds quick.

Eat in Front of a Mirror

You don’t have to actually hold a mirror while you are eating. But if you position a mirror in the room where you usually eat that you can easily view yourself, you may find, like some studies have, that by seeing yourself eat, you may cut your intake of food by up to 1/3 of your usual amount.

By seeing yourself as you eat, you will be reminded of why you want to lose weight, and your brain will react towards  the goal you have set for yourself.

Fill More of Your Plate with Vegetables

It’s hard to look forward to your dinner when you look down at your plate and see too much plate and not enough food.  Take less meat and fill up the plate with vegetables. It’s healthier for you and will give you the satisfaction of seeing a full plate to indulge in.

Pick Vegetables That Have a High Concentration of Water

Studies show that eating more vegetables that are rich in water can help curb your daily intake of calories.  Make a habit of eating more cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, and zucchini.

And you can lose weight faster if you select soups and salads instead of the heavier foods.  If they’re filled with water rich veggies, they’ll help keep you full longer.

Keep Your Food Colorful

Foods that are white have been found to cause you to gain more weight, such as white flour and sugar. They’ll also cause your blood sugar levels to be unstable, which will result in weight gain instead of loss. Along with a variety of colorful vegetables, stick with the breads, cereals, and pasta that are available in whole grains, and with brown rice.

Try To Eat at Home More Often

When you’re dieting, it’s important to be in control of what you’re eating. Making your own meals is the only way to really keep track of what you’re consuming. It’s difficult to judge exactly what the restaurant dinner has added to it, and all the extras that can really add up.

Chew Your Food Slowly

It’s well known that by eating fast, you can end up with gas and bloating. By eating slowly the result will be healthier digestion. Taking your time to chew your food slowly will also help your body get more nutrient absorption.

And don’t forget, your brain needs enough time to register that your stomach is full. By eating too fast, you’ll just end up uncomfortably full and gain weight instead of losing it.

Follow these helpful tips on how to lose 10 pounds quick and you’ll be there before you know it.
